It’s Only A Little Death, a queer Tim Burton fever dream of a horror novel, is finally out in the world!

I’m so excited to finally share it with everyone, especially the paperback version that ended up looking really awesome. The design fits the playful horror tone of the book well, and the bleeding heart has another interpretation I won’t reveal… But I will reveal the interior of the book for you right here ♥

I also did a book launch stream on Twitch on the 22nd, which was a lot of fun. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to read the spicy bits out loud because I’ve never tried to do that before, but I think I did okay, especially with the clever self-censoring. I made it through five chapters before my voice started to give out:

I’ve also got something planned for the near future, although I’m not sure how near, exactly. I’ve been putting together a collection of poems I’ve written over the past several years. As I started working with a possible layout for an interior, it evolved into a sort of zine-style project, which will be mostly drawn (save for the poems themselves, which will be typed for accessibility because my handwriting is atrocious). There will be not only poems, but art and short prose pieces that portray a darker side of mental health awareness. A lot of these pieces were drawn or written during some pretty rough moments, and I left them pretty raw.

It’ll be my first venture into publishing poetry, but ultimately, no matter how it goes, it’ll be close to my heart. So keep an eye out for that. Since you’re subbed to the newsletter and you’ve read this far, have a sneak peek at the book’s page I haven’t shared anywhere else (and the potential cover art is on there too I drew last week ♥ Shhh…) I don’t plan on sharing this widely yet, so keep it on the downlow.
